A MAN from Hoylake has been charged after a 27-year-old was left with serious head injuries in Ellesmere Port.
Emergency services were called just before 1am on Wednesday, January 16 to the junction of Whitby Road and Cromwell Road following reports of an altercation involving three men.
During the incident a 27-year-old man from Ellesmere Port suffered a serious head injury and was taken to the Countess of Chester Hospital.
He is still receiving treatment at the hospital.
Thomas Frazer, 23, of Hoose Court, has been charged with wounding with intent and possessing an offensive weapon in a public place.
He has been remanded in custody and will appear at Chester Magistrates Court today (Thursday, January 17).
A 24-year-old man, from Ellesmere Port, who was also arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent has been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
