DRIVERS are being warning to expect delays after two car crashes on M53.
Emergency services were first called at around 7.30am today (Thursday, January 17) to a two car collision between junction 8 and junction 9 Ellesmere Port.
The southbound carriageway was blocked but reopened at 8.05am.
A second crash was reported a short time after within queuing traffic at junction 7 Netherpool Road (Overpool).
Although the road has been cleared, there is congestion to junction 4 (Bebington) with travel time around 45 minutes.
Traffic has been briefly stopped on the #M53 in #Cheshire southbound between J6 and J7 due to a collision involving 3 cars however all lanes are now running. @NWmwaypolice
