THE boss of a charity that will have a special visit from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex has said she is 'thrilled' and 'greatly looking forward' to the event.
Tomorrow's Women Wirral (TWW) was launched in 2011 and supports women in vulnerable circumstances.
For women only, the centre is part funded by Merseyside Community Rehabilitation Company (MCRC) and offers a range of services to adult women in the community - this includes those on probation or custodial licence.
TWW's chief executive Angela Murphy told the Globe: "I am thrilled the Duke and Duchess asked to visit our centre.
"They want to meet the people we work with and to learn more about their lives and our work. That means a great deal to us."
The charity also offers a range of courses and workshops for more than 6,500 women on an annual basis plus attendees can access support groups aimed at addressing issues such as; mental health, domestic abuse, substance misuse and debt.
Angela added: “I am delighted because it will help focus attention upon our women and highlight the progress they are making as they make positive changes to their lives.
“The Royal couple want to see the work we do, so we are just running our ordinary Monday groups and courses and giving the women who normally attend the opportunity to talk about their life journeys.
"I am greatly looking forward to the event.”
On Monday, January 14, Harry and Meghan will meet the charity’s staff and service users alongside with MCRC staff and women on Community Payback.
