A MAN has died after a car hit a tree in Eastham.
Emergency services were called at around 1.25pm today (Wednesday, January 9) to an area near Eastham Rake train station following reports that a Vauxhall Antara car had crashed into a tree.
The driver, a man in his 60s, was treated at the scene but was pronounced dead a short time later.
Detectives say CCTV, forensic and witness enquiries are ongoing.
The road has now re-opened after being closed for a short time.
