A WOMAN has been taken to hospital following a crash in Moreton.
Emergency services were called to Hoylake Road at around 10.10am today (Thursday, January 3) following reports of a collision between a truck and a Peugeot.
North West Ambulance Service confirmed that a woman, aged in her 60s, has been taken to hospital with neck and back injuries.
A spokeswoman said: "We have taken a female patient in her 60s to the local emergency department with neck and back injuries.
"Her injuries are not major trauma."
Merseyside Police put road closures in place from Hoylake Road to Moreton Cross and Pasture Road towards Moreton Cross.
Drivers were warned to avoid the area and find alternative routes.
