POLICE have launched an appeal for information after the windows of a pub in Birkenhead were smashed on Christmas Eve.
A report was received shortly after midnight that six windows of the Park View Hotel had been smashed after two males threw bricks at the premises.
Community inspector Georgina Minnery said: "Thankfully there were no customers in the premises at the time of this incident.
"But to target it in this way, especially at this time of year, has caused significant distress to the owner and we appeal to anyone who may have heard who is responsible for this incident to contact police."
Anyone with information can contact Merseyside Police social media desk via Twitter @MerPolCC or Facebook Merseyside Police CC.
