In regards to a recent story in the Globe about the tender for a new Mersey Ferry being launched, I think it is ridiculous that this is not automatically being given to Cammell Laird.
In light of recent job strikes, which have now thankfully been resolved, surely giving the Mersey Ferry contract to Cammell Laird is the logical thing to do?
For once, I agree with Frank Field who says that this will further secure jobs at the firm, this can only be a good thing.
Come on Metro Mayor spare a thought for Wirral and help us prosper.
