A MAN has been taken to hospital after being hit by a train in Hooton.
Emergency services were called at around 5.21pm on Wednesday, December 19 following reports of a person being struck by a train.
Paramedics took a man to hospital where he remains with injuries that British Transport Police describe as 'life changing.'
Merseyrail services on the Chester line had to start and terminate at Rock Ferry.
A rail replacement bus service was also in operation.
Rail services resumed just after 8pm.
The incident is not being treated as suspicious.
