A PRENTON mum who has lost more than three stone after suffering with post-natal depression is speaking out to inspire others to achieve their on goals.

Suzanne Peuker, 38, suffered with post natal depression after the birth of her first child and decided to rejoin WW (Weight Watchers) in a bid to make 'positive changes' to her life.

Now a few years later, after losing 55lbs with WW, she is showing others that they too can make changes for the better.

Suzanne told the Globe: "I reached goal with WW once before in 2009 so I know the plan works and that I can be successful when following it.

"After the birth of my first child I suffered with post-natal depression.

"I joined weight watchers originally to gain some control back in my life at a time when I felt I had no control over anything.

"WW teaches healthy habits for life through its three pillar approach giving equal importance to food, exercise and shifting your mindset.

"I was taught to be in charge of my own destiny, my own needs and requirements to make me the best mum and wife I could be.

"I really feel like the group helped me get through one of the worst times of my life. For me it’s about far more than the number on the scales.

"Following the birth of my second child I was concerned the PND may return and so I jumped straight back into weight watchers when my boy was six weeks old.

"Again this brought some consistency, focus and control back into my life.

"Fortunately I never did suffer again with PND."

Suzanne says as she began to lose more weight she became 'confident' in herself and so much so that she joined a running group.

Since then Suzanne has gone on to run in the London Marathon, complete 10 half marathons and raised cash for Alzheimer's and Sepsis charities.

Suzanne added: "In July 2014 I joined a running group, my confidence grew from strength to strength.

"I steadily built up my running distance from 5km to 10km and I’ve since completed 10 half marathons plus the BTR Whistle Stop Tour twice.

"In April 16 I completed the London Marathon raising £15,00 for SENSE.

"I am so proud of what I have achieved by losing weight but also by shifting my mindset to face challenges.

"Through the support of my fantastic coach and the group I attend.

"I have my off weeks, I have my fantastic weeks and everything in between but WW is part of my life I’d be lost without it."
