THE best performing primary schools in Wirral have been revealed.
The data has been taken from the Department of Education league table which ranks schools from this year’s key stage two SATs results.
Taken by pupils in year 6 aged 10 onwards, the tests monitor a child’s reading, writing and maths abilities.
The league table uses the percentage of children reaching the expected standard in reading, writing and maths to rank the schools.
This year Thornton Hough Primary School and Brookhurst Primary School jointly topped the table, closely followed by Our Lady of Pity Catholic Primary School and Barnston Primary School.
