WIRRAL milkmen have brought some festive cheer to children and families at Claire House.

Christmas gifts of new toys for boys and girls of all ages were all donated by customers and staff from Mortons Dairies.

Beth Pochin, corporate fundraiser at Claire House, said: “We’re grateful to the staff and customers at Morton’s Dairies who have turned this event into an annual tradition here at Claire House.

"The gifts will bring a smile to the faces of the children and their families who need it most."

Milkmen collected toys from the doorsteps of kind-hearted customers all over the borough who then dropped them off from a decorated milk float at the hospice.

Julian Harrison, managing director of Morton’s Dairies, said: "We had an amazing response from our customers this year and we’re delighted to share our haul of presents with Claire House, a charity which is very significant in the hearts and minds of many of our staff and customers in Wirral."
