Pottery

WIRRAL Potters Christmas Exhibition is on view at West Kirby Concourse until this Saturday.

The work of 15 potters is on display to visitors, including a range of domestic and sculptural pottery.

It is open daily from 10am-5pm.

Festive rock'n'roll

MIKE Byrne and the Sunrockers will have their Christmas Rock n Roll party at Heswall British Legion a week on Saturday, December 15.

A CHRISTMAS fete will be held at Caldy Manor Care Home this Saturday.

It takes place at the venue in Caldy Wood, Caldy from 2.30- 4pm. All welcome.

There will be live music and festive treats, including mulled wine and mince pies.

THE Festival of Music, Speech and Drama is celebrating its 70th anniversary next year and Globe readers are urged to send in applications for both festival weekends.

The speech and drama element will take place on March 15 and 16.

The music element will be held on March 22 and 23.

Concert

WIRRAL Recorder Orchestra celebrates its twentieth year with a Christmas Concert this Saturday at Trinity with Palm Grove Church in Oxton.

It starts at 3pm. Tickets are £6, include refreshments.

The show will include comedy, vocals and guitar as well a variety of classical and festive music from the Orchestra.

Nativity

A CELEBRATION of the Nativity is being held at St Nicholas church in Wallasey everyday until this Saturday.

Lots of different Nativity scenes will be on display.

The venue is open 2-5pm weekdays and 11am-5pm on Saturday, when there will be carol-singing at 4pm, free.

There will also be a Christmas concert at the church on Friday, December 14. Starts at 7.30pm, tickets £6.

RAFA concert

THE Royal Air Force Association, Birkenhead Branch, is holding a charity Carol Concert this Friday.

Featuring the Castle Singers from Heswall, it takes place at The RAFA Club in Shrewsbury Road, Oxton starting at 8pm.

Entrance will be £3, but children under 12 are free. The event is open to everyone and all proceeds will go to the RAFA Wings Appeal.

There will be a bar for preand post-concert refreshments.
