I WOULD like to thank everybody who has shared their views so far in the NHS Wirral Clinical Commissioning Group’s urgent care consultation.

The consultation runs until midnight on December 12.

These proposals are about spending your money in the most effective way to meet the changing healthcare needs of the people of Wirral.

Our proposals include more bookable urgent GP and nurse appointments in your local area in place of walk-in facilities for adults, a new walk-in and bookable urgent care service for children in local areas, and together with a bookable dressings (wound care) service based in your local areas.

We also need your views on an Urgent Treatment Centre for Wirral, which will be located at the Arrowe Park site and will take some of this pressure off A&E.

We are also hosting our next public meeting at Wallasey Town Hall on Thursday, December 6, from 6.30pm to 8.30pm.

If you have not read our proposals yet, I would urge you to do so, and have your say in the future of urgent care services in Wirral.

Visit www.wirralurgentcare.co.uk to find the proposals and a link to our online survey.

Dr Susan Wells, Chair, NHS Wirral CCG.
