A HIGH school graphic design teacher is releasing her third children's book after illustrating the story about a shoemaker written by her mum.

Alice Roberts, the graphic designer at Sir Thomas Boteler CE High School illustrated the book Shh...oes, in collaboration with her mum – Oswestry based author Trixie Roberts.

This is Trixie’s second publication this year, the first being a short story collection Bananas and Other Stories, released in September.

Shh...oes is Alice’s third children’s book – the first being The Tree Elves Picnic, which was published in March 2012 and in 2015 she released Pog with her dad.

She is also working on another children’s book, The Boy Who Dug, with a fellow Boteler colleague, English teacher Jane Woodcock, which will be release on Saturday, December 8.

The story of Shh...oes is aimed at children, aged between four and eight.

Alice said: “I have loved making this book with my mum, she has been writing for many years and her story about clog-maker George was perfect to be made into a children’s picture book.

"I feel very lucky to have been able to publish books with both my dad and my mum.”

Shh...oes is available now for pre-order on Amazon, and was released on Friday.
