WHEN Avon went bust Arriva and Stagecoach bounced in to snap-up the more profitable routes while we, living in Irby, have been left swinging without a bus to West Kirby.
It's mightily inconvenient.
Four times a week, despite having many miles on the clock, I walk from Irby through Royden woods and park down the drive, along Frankby Road (past what used to be the Farmer's Arms) to Frankby Green to catch a 437 to West Kirby and repeat in reverse later.
So to save me from this ordeal, when might I expect to see a number 88, 82 or 22 horse and cart appear to cover this route because the bus companies seem to be very shy so far.
