ONCE again, the residents of Wirral are presented with a survey to supposedly help the powers-that-be decide what is best for us.
In this case the survey I am referring to is one created by the NHS - an urgent consultation on our walk-in services.
The problem with this survey is that the two options given are not what I would imagine most of the people of Wirral actually want.
The survey seems to take as a "given" that some essential walk-in centres are to close and the public is asked to decide and vote for one of two reduced (unwanted) service options.
Without a third option, which includes keeping the walk-in centres as they are, this survey can only give a highly-misleading indication of people’s views.
Perhaps that is the intention.
