SERVICES will take place across Wirral on Sunday to remember all those who lost their lives during conflict.

This year, Sunday, November 11 also marks the centenary of the end of the First World War.

The Mayor of Wirral Cllr Geoffrey Watt will join service men, women, their families and armed forces representatives at The Cenotaph in Hamilton Square at 10.55am.

  • 10.55am - The Cenotaph, Hamilton Square, Birkenhead
  • 10am - Christ Church, Kings Road, Bebington, followed by a service at the Higher Bebington British Legion at 12pm
  • 10am - Short Service at St. Stephen’s Church, Prenton
  • 10.15am - St. Barnabas Church, Bromborough
  • 10.15 - The Parade will leave the Royal British Legion, Wallasey for a 10.53 am service at the War Memorial, Magazines Promenade, New Brighton.
  • 10.30am - St. Oswald’s Church, Bidston.
  • 10.30am - St Peter’s Church, Lower Village, Heswall, followed by wreath laying at The Cenotaph, Heswall
  • 10.35am for 10.55 am - The Cenotaph, corner of Maryland Lane and Pasture Road in Moreton.
  • 10.45am - Grange Hill, West Kirby
  • 10.45am - War memorial at Junction of Osmaston Road and Prenton Lane, Prenton
  • 10.45am - War memorial outside the Public Library, Ford Road, Upton
  • 10.45am - War memorial, Port Sunlight Village followed by a service at Christ Church, Port Sunlight Village.
  • 2.40pm - Service at the war memorial, Thornton Hough
