A LIMITED edition candle has been launched by Owen Drew to mark the centenary of World War One and raise cash for the Royal British Legion.

The 'Centenary' candle has been designed as a tribute to all the fallen and for every candle sold, £5 will be donated to the Royal British Legion.

Founder Drew Cockton told the Globe: "We really felt that we wanted to mark the anniversary by creating a fragrance that pay homage to all the brave men and women who have fought in any kind of conflict over the past one hundred years.

"We have made just one hundred of the special candles and will be donating £5 from every sale to the Royal British Legion as a mark of our respect for the amazing work they do."

The candle has been developed by using a poppy fragrance with tones of rose oils and patchouli which are said to release a calming aroma.

Owen Drew's Pacific Road boutique has also paid respect to the fallen by adorning 2,500 poppies over the shop front.

Drew added: "People often light candles to remember loved ones so it seemed only natural for us to mark this significant event.

"We really hope our customers get behind the initiative and embrace the sentiment by helping us raise as much as possible for the Royal British Legion."

The limited edition ‘Centenary’ candle is available to buy in store at the Pacific Road Boutique and online at www.owendrewcandles.com/limited-edition-centenary/
