POLICE have issued CCTV images of a man they would like to speak to after rail staff were assaulted in Liverpool city centre.

British Transport Police (BTP) have issued the images in relation to two separate incidents on October 15.

At around 8pm, a man was refused travel at Liverpool Central station because he was believed to be too intoxicated, he became aggressive, swore at a female staff member before spitting in her face.

He left and then entered Moorfields station where he was again refused travel, he then spat at another female and threatened them before throwing a glass bottle at another member of staff.

BTP officers are now urging the man in the CCTV to come forward as he may have vital information.
