A BROKEN down vehicle in the Wallasey Tunnel caused rush-hour chaos this morning.
Motorists travelling to Liverpool diverted to the Queensway in Birkenhead, which caused gridlock in the town centre.
The vehicle was recovered and cleared by 08.30am.
Traffic is heavier than normal, but starting to ease.
