PIERS MORGAN is receiving an angry backlash after criticising Wirral actor Daniel Craig for wearing a baby carrier.
The broadcaster posted a picture on Monday morning of the former Hilbre High School student and James Bond actor wearing the carrier with the caption: “Oh 007 … not you as well?!!! #papoose #emasculatedBond”

Now his comments have received an angry backlash from thousands on social media including dads who are tweeting images to the controversial journalist.

Even Captain America star Chris Evans has responded to Piers' comments: "You really have to be so uncertain of your own masculinity to concern yourself with how another man carries his child.
"Any man who wastes his time quantifying masculinity is terrified on the inside."

However, Piers has continued to stand his ground, replying to some angry tweeters.
He’s not carrying it, that’s my point. He’s using an emasculating papoose.

James Bond would never use a papoose to carry his babies. https://t.co/6aZZSFUEjy
They’re only doing it because their wives/girlfriends told them to.. https://t.co/SPyG5a438c

It’s my opinion, Henry - nothing more sinister than that.

Britain used to be a country where people debated such matters with gusto, humour & civility.
Papoose-Gate perfectly personifies how pathetically self-righteous, hysterical & humourless the Twitter mob has become. https://t.co/5wlnVaFC7D
A child carrier - also known as a papoose - allows parents to walk with their children strapped to their bodies.
Daniel's wife, actress Rachel Weisz, gave birth to a daughter in August.
