MARINE Street Social in New Brighton is putting on a big celebration on Friday to watch the Giant set to wake up by the lighthouse at Fort Perch Rock.

The venue will be open from 8am until late and throwing on a day of family entertainment, including balloon sculptures and face-painting, as well as delicious food and drink from some of the best independent outlets in the region.

Called Liverpool's Dream, Royal De Luxe and the Giants return to Liverpool for the third and final time, and for the first time will visit Wirral.

After waking up at 11.15am, the Giant will walk along Marine Promenade, onto Coastal Drive and towards Kings Parade to enjoy a siesta at approx 1pm.

At 3pm the Giant wakes from his afternoon nap at The Dips, before heading back along Kings Parade, Marine Promenade, south along Tower Promenade and finishing at Magazines Promenade at approx 5.15pm.
