A FIVE-mile walk in aid of Wirral Hospice St John's takes place a week on Friday, October 12.

Now in its third year, Glow with the flow will follow a circular route around West Kirby and Hoylake, starting and ending at Tanskey’s Bistro at Coronation Gardens.

The event brings together a host of hospice supporters from around Wirral alongside their families, friends and neighbours.

People pay between £7 and £15 to take part, which helps raise essential funds for the hospice’s specialist care and support services.

The walkers will gather around Tanskey’s from 6pm onwards, to sign in, to take safety instructions and enjoy a gentle warm-up with Jennifer Emery – from Zest Fitness Wirral.

The walk starts at 7pm, with glow sticks distributed by the hospice in hand, the fun walk will start. Participants are encouraged to wear bright, often luminous, clothes and accessories – appropriate for the weather.

For more details and to sign-up visit www.wirralhospice.org/glow or email the organisation’s fundraising officer Sarah Burgess at Sarahb@wirralhospice.org
