THE largest covered firework display in the North West will be staged at Tranmere Rovers' Prenton Park ground tomorrow night.

The event, run by volunteers from Heswall Round Table and Tranmere Rovers, will showcase the very best local acts with the show set to start at 7pm.

On the night there will be a competition to win prizes by tweeting Halloween selfies with #SpookyTRFC.

A spokesman from the display team said: "We think that the firework display at Tranmere Rovers is the biggest and best fireworks in Wirral.

"It's the biggest covered display in the region, so even if it rains you’ll have a great night.

"There will be food and drinks available - pre-show entertainment provided by local acts and of course, fireworks.

"Set to music and provided by one the the UK’s leading firework display companies, the Prenton Park fireworks is an unmissable event for all the family.

"The event is a charity fundraiser, raising important funds which Heswall Round Table distribute to good causes across Wirral throughout the year.

"The event is likely to sell out so to avoid disappointment, buying your tickets in advance are essential as there will be no guarantee for on the night ticket availability can be made."

Gates will open at 5.30pm with free parking issued on a first come first saved basis.

Tickets to the event are £5 and are available at the club shop, Bargain Booze on Borough Road, McColl's on Mount Road or online via: https://bit.ly/2y4JK7V or
