PEOPLE in Hoylake are against plans for a wine bar to extend its alcohol licence and let customers drink outside for longer.
Whitt’s End Wine and Cocktail Bar on Market Street has applied for permission to allow drinkers in its outside area until 11pm – beyond the current 9pm deadline.
But the plans have received objections from the Hoylake Residents Group, as well as four local residents.
A report to be discussed by Wirral council’s licensing act 2003 sub-committee next week said the objections were due to “concerns that if the application is granted that nuisance will be caused by customers in the outside area”.
The meeting about the plans for the venue, which claims to be a “nautical” themed bar specialising in wine, cocktails and live music will take place on October 4 at Wallasey Town Hall.
Whitt’s End was contacted for comment.
