POULTON Lancelyn Women's Institute is looking for more members.

La Boheme

FLAT Pack Music will finish the tour of their successful and five-star rated production of Puccini's La Boheme at Hope Church in Hoylake a week on Saturday, October 6 with the Festival Orchestra as part of the Wirral Arts Festival.

Full of comedy, friendship, and love La Boheme is a tale of the ups and downs of a group of young people struggling to make ends meet whilst following their dreams.

Life begins to take an alternate path when the poet Rodolfo falls for his neighbour the beautiful seamstress Mimi.

Meanwhile his artistic friend Marcello continues his tumultuous relationship with the glamorous singer Musetta.

The production features Joseph Buckmaster as Rudolfo, Heather Heighway (Mimi), Phillip Clieve (Marcello), Peter Lidbetter (Colline), David Cane (Schaunard), Jessica Hope (Mussetta) and Samuel Jackson (Alcindoro / Benoit)

It is directed by Emily Howard-Cobley, with music conducted Tom Newall. Pianist is Tom Pieczora

Brass Band Concert  

PORT Sunlight Lyceum Brass Band will be holding a concert in St Mary's Parish Church, Stanley Road, Eastham on Saturday, October 6.

Garden Society

CAROL Seery is Hoylake & District Gardening Society's guesty when it meets next month.

CLATTERBRIDGE Hospital League Of Friends is holding a fund raising event later this year.

Taking place at Wirral Rugby Club on Friday, November 23, there will be a talk by local historian Gavin Hunter entitled Wirral, a history from the air, which will be followed by a buffet.
