TRANMERE Rovers' preparation for next season continues with the signing of defender Jake Caprice on a two-year contract.

The right back comes to Prenton Park after ending his stay at Leyton Orient.

The 25-year-old began his career in the youth system at Crystal Palace and after one season as a professional with the Eagles he signed for Blackpool in 2012.

He gained experience in loan spells at Dagenham & Redbridge, St Mirren, Tamworth and then joined Lincoln City in 2014.

Caprice spent two seasons with Woking in the National League where his performances earned him the move to Leyton Orient.

Manager Micky Mellon said: "I'm pleased to bring Jake to the Club.

"He's a player who has impressed me every time I've seen him play – he's quick, strong and likes to get forward.

"He brings us competition to the right back spot and that’s healthy for the group."
