POLICE are appealing for driver who may have witnessed an Isle of Man crash which killed a 56-year-old Prenton man.

James Gilmour was riding a Suzuki motorcyle on Mountain Road towards Brandish when he was involved in a crash with a green Mercedes Vito Van and a blue Ford Kuga at around 11.20am on Sunday, May 27.

Mr Gilmour, a caretaker at Liverpool John Moores University, suffered serious injuries and was taken to a local hospital where he later passed away.

No-one else was injured in the crash.

Now officers would like to speak to the driver or passengers of a blue Vauxhall Zafira car which was seen in the Creg Ny Baa area at the time of the crash as they believe they could have information which is important to the investigation.

They also wish to speak to three motorcyclists who were also seen near the crash site.

Isle of Man chief inspector Dave Dobbie said: “I thank the members of the public who stopped and assisted with scene and giving first aid.

"If anyone who saw the incident who has not already given their details are asked to contact Police Headquarters on 01624 631212.

"Our thoughts are with all involved in this very sad incident."
