A MAN accused of stabbing another man to death at a Birkenhead flat has denied murder.
Douglas Plumpton, of Whetstone Lane in Birkenhead denied murdering Iain Maddocks on Good Friday this year.
Police and paramedics were called to Whetstone Lane in Birkenhead at around 2.40pm on March 30 this year.
Officers said that 32-year-old Iain Maddocks was found with multiple stab wounds and taken to hospital, where he died at 3.25pm.
Plumpton, 26, appeared at Liverpool Crown Court via video ink from Walton prison.
Judge Alan Conrad, QC, further remanded Plumpton in custody to await his trial, expected to last five to seven days, beginning on September 13.
