TWO masked men armed with a knife left staff and customers 'extremely shaken' after a raid at a post office in Moreton
The men entered The Saughall Bridge Post Office on Hoylake Road just after 1pm on Tuesday.
They threatened staff and customers before demanding cash.
Once staff handed the cash over, the men then ran off in the direction of Douglas Lane.
No-one was injured during the incident.
Both men are white, of slim build and between 5ft 11 and 6ft.
One was wearing a grey Berghaus fleece, black hat, black pants and black and grey Nike Airmax trainers.
The other was wearing a grey bubble coat, black gloves and was carrying a hunting knife.
Both men had their faces covered.
Officers are conducting enquiries and analysing CCTV in order to identify those responsible.
Detective inspector Mike Dalton said: "Thankfully no-one was injured during this incident but all those involved were left shaken by what happened.
"We’re determined to crack down on business robberies across Merseyside and will not tolerate this criminal behaviour.
"I want to reassure the public that we’re doing everything we can to identify those responsible and bring them to justice and would urge anyone that saw something suspicious to get in touch.”
