Firefighters rescued a homeowner from the house and gave them oxygen at the scene
ONE person taken to hospital after fire at Birkenhead home.
Emergency services were called at around 7am on Saturday, March 10 to a property on Woodville Road after reports of a fire in a living room.
Firefighters rescued the homeowner from the property and gave them oxygen at the scene.
They were then assessed by paramedics and taken to hospital for further checks.
Three fire engines attended the incident and crews wearing breathing apparatus used hose reel jets to extinguish the fire.
Firefighters remained at the incident for around 55 minutes.
