POLICE are appealing for information after a body of a man was discovered in Bebington.

Emergency services were called at around 9.45pm on Sunday, March 11 to Old Chester Road after a member of the public found a body of a man on the pavement.

He has not yet been identified and a post mortem will be carried out to establish the cause of death.

His death is currently being treated as unexplained.

A scene has now been preserved on Old Chester Road.

Detectives are appealing to anyone who was in the area between 8pm and 9.45pm and may have seen a man aged 40 to 50, white with short brown hair, a pale complexion and wearing a green wax jacket, dark grey/black trousers and grey trainers to get in touch.

It is likely that the man could have travelled by train to and from Eastham.
