DRIVERS are being told to expect delays after a HGV broke down in the Wallasey Tunnel.
Merseytravel confirmed one large goods vehicle is awaiting recovery in Kingsway inbound from the toll booths.
One lane remains closed and there is queueing traffic affecting drivers heading towards Liverpool.
Merseytravel are urging drivers to consider using the Birkenhead Tunnel if possibly.
Due to a broken down Large Goods Vehicle awaiting recovery, there is currently congestion in the Wallasey Tunnel in the Wallasey - Liverpool direction. Please consider using the Birkenhead Tunnel if possible. Thank you for your patience.
