PIGEON netting caused traffic delays after it fell onto the New Ferry Bypass.
The A41 New Ferry Bypass northbound has now reopened after pigeon netting fell from a bridge above the carriageway.
Emergency services were on scene to assist Wirral Council in removing the netting.
Drivers faced delays between New Chester Road, Bolton Road East, Bolton Road, Campbeltown Road, Croft Avenue East and Caldbeck Road.
After damage to one of our bridges this morning we have reopened the A41 Rock Ferry bypass in less than 1.5hrs. apologises to all affected but we needed to make it safe for the public . Great teamwork with @BAMNuttall @MerPolTraffic @MerPolBHead
