A MAN was rescued by the Coastguard after injuring his knee on a beach in New Brighton.
North West Ambulance Service called for assistance of Wirral's Coastguard Rescue Team at around 12.10pm yesterday (Tuesday) to an area of beach near to Derby Pool after a man had fallen and had injured his knee.
The Coastguard team used a 4x4 vehicle to quickly transport the casualty to an ambulance due to incoming tide.
North West Ambulance Service Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) were also in attendance.
Flint Coastguard Rescue Team were also tasked but stood down on route to the incident.
To report someone in trouble on the coast call 999 and ask for the Coastguard.
