HOME Bargains' new store in Moreton will be officially opened by one of the discount retail giant's oldest customers this weekend.

RAF veteran Cliff Crozier, 102-year-old, will cut the ribbon to officially the new store in Hoylake Road at 8am tomorrow.

Cliff was the first shopper to enter the previous Home Bargains store in Moreton where he continues to shop weekly.

The firm has invested more than £4 million in its new branch, which occupies the site of a former Co-op Food store and will create up to 50 new jobs. It has relocated from its current unit across the road.

Joe Morris, operations director at Home Bargains, said: "We're thrilled to be launching a new store in Moreton and look forward to welcoming customers through the doors.

"The new unit on Hoylake Road will be great location for us and we're proud to be able to offer local people top-branded goods at exceptionally low prices."

The company attracts more than four million customers through its doors each week.
