A Seacombe man accused of a racially aggravated assault involving squirting fluid in a man’s face has appeared in court.

Dennis Frederick Rich is alleged to have assaulted Paul James Bruce causing actual bodily harm in a racially aggravated attack on January 6 this year.

45-year-old Rich, of Vivian Avenue, Seacombe, appeared before Wirral Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday and the case was sent to Liverpool Crown Court for a hearing next month.

He was remanded on bail.
