I WOULD like to ask Wirral Council a question regarding children's play areas in different parts of the borough.
Twice in the last 12 months I have had to travel from Claughton to Meols to find a safe, clean and appropriate playground for my three-year-old grandson to play in.
The play area in Meols is clean with lots of various equipment suitable for younger children and although I am pleased that this is the case, I am also extremely disappointed regarding the neglected state of the children's outdoor playgrounds in the Birkenhead areas.
It is many years since they saw a coat of paint and lots of the play equipment is rusty or broken.
Is it just me or do Wirral Council take care of the facilities in the more affluent areas of the borough to the detriment of the children of the less well-off areas?
