POLICE have confirmed the identity of a worker who died at a shipping yard on Riverbank Road, Bromborough.
23-year-old Tristan Nuttall, from Mouldsworth, Cheshire was pronounced dead at Carmet Marine shipping yard last Thursday.
A post mortem established Mr Nuttall died of head injury.
A statement from Merseyside Police said an investigation into the circumstances of his death will be carried out by detectives and the Health and Safety Executive.
It continued: "The site has been secured to allow crime scene investigators to attend.
"A police family liaison officer is providing them with support at this time."
A spokeswoman from the Health and Safety executive said: “HSE is aware of this incident and inspectors have attended the scene.
"We continue to work closely with Merseyside Police.”
