T'WAS the Sunday afternoon before Christmas, with families arriving for the pantomime at Gladstone Theatre, Port Sunlight.
But who arrives on the scene?
Ebenezer Scrooge in the shape of a traffic warden gleefully booking the parked cars.
Virtually no traffic so the parked cars do not impede any moving vehicles.
When the panto is over people find a ticket on their windscreens, what has been a pleasant afternoon ruined. What miserable miser at the council thought this one up?
Any driver fined should have their money refunded in the spirit of the season.
With this attitude, nobody will be going to the theatre.
The department responsible is full of humbug.
Wirral Council can waste hundreds of thousands of pounds on grandiose golf schemes, is this the way to raise extra funds?
Ruining people's Christmas, they should be ashamed of themselves.
R J Furnival,
Port Sunlight
