Fire crews rescue horse stuck in mud at Wallasey
Firefighters released a horse stuck on its side in mud in a field close to Bayswater Road in Wallasey.
Crews used shovels to dig the horse out of the mud and bring it to safety, unharmed.
Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service was called at 2.20pm on Wednesday and were on the scene at 2.30pm.
One fire engine attended together with the search and rescue team.
