WIRRAL Sports Forum's annual awards ceremony takes place this Friday.
Celebrating sporting achievements across the borough, it will be held at Tranmere Rovers Football Club.
The categories are:
- Volunteer coach of the year
- Sports volunteer of the year
- Young sports volunteer of the year (16-19yrs)
- Lifetime achiever in sport
- Young sportsperson of the year (under 18yrs)
- Sports club of the year
The winners will be announced on the night.
Thirty one bursaries will also be awarded, to help support development of individuals in a very wide range of sporting activities.
This is the largest number ever awarded by the Wirral Sports Forum Guest speakers include Simon Mason, the Rugby hero of Ulster's 1999 Heineken Cup victory and Sean Calvert, graduate of Tranmere Rover's College and Captain of the college squad.
