MERSEYSIDE police are asking the public to be cautious after prescription medication was stolen in Wirral.
Officers were called at around 2.30pm yesterday to reports from a member of the public that their backpack containing the medication had been stolen in Chadwick Street, Moreton.
Inside the red and black backpack was Amitriptyline tablets, Citalopram stables, Zapain tablets and a Ventolin inhaler.
They are reminding people that taking any medication which has not been prescribed for them can be dangerous and, in some circumstances, can prove fatal.
Anyone who finds any of the medication is asked to hand it in to any pharmacy or police station and call officers on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
