A MAN has been detained after being taken to hospital following a collision with a car near Upton.
Emergency services were called to Arrowe park road at around 7.30pm on Tuesday August 16 following concerns for the safety of a man believed to be in his 20s.
Soon after initial calls to police were made, the man was involved in a collision with a Citroen van as he walked nearby.
He was taken to Arrowe park hospital after sustaining injuries to his leg, but was later detained under the mental health act.
