A YOUNG athlete from Wirral is among a team representing their country at a contest in France – and needs Globe readers' help to get there.
Discus thrower Zita Aspell, from Bebington, is part of the Great Britain Team taking part in the Catholic Schools Games in Paris.
The competition runs from July 8 -14 and Zita needs to raise over £1,000 to pay for entry, travel and accommodation costs.
The 16-year-old, who attends Bebington High Sports College, trains with Wirral AC and Wirral Harriers, coached by Dennis Roscoe and Joe and Jill Fallon.

A statement from her family on Zita's gofundme page reads: "The cost of funding her entry to this completion without outside support is out of our family's reach, so we are hoping with the help and kindness of all you lovely people out there we can reach the target needed to be able to help send Zita there."
