CHRISTMAS morning dawned grey, wet and miserable.
We went off to a family Christmas dinner "over the water" or in our case under the water via the Wallasey Tunnel.
When we approached the tunnel it was motor car mayhem.
Eventually managing to join a queue, we paid our toll and continued our journey.
To avoid the annual queueing misery couldn’t the tunnel authorities raise the barrier, show some Christmas spirit and make the tunnel free for the day?
No toll booth staff required so a saving on wages, and enter the spirit of the season!
