I WAS very moved to read the story about the Charles Thompson Mission in the Christmas edition of the Wirral Globe.
Craig Manning's story and his photos really captured a situation that is all too real in this world.
It is is an institution that Wirral should be rightly proud of.
I felt humbled seeing the spirit of the staff and the homeless who know what a difference it makes to their lives.
Well done to the mission for its selfless work and a big thanks to the Globe for highlighting their plight.
This Birkenhead beacon made me realise how lucky I am to have a roof over my head.
