WE are parents of children in St George's Primary School in Wallasey and on Saturday November 28 the school held their annual Christmas fair which attracted hundreds of people.
As parents we are naturally proud of our children when they do good things but on Saturday children from the Dragon Club, the school's out of hours service, did a performance to Peter Kay's 'Once Upon A Christmas Song'.
Many of us are still singing now and they performed with what the school advertised as a 'special guest', which turned out to be the school's brand new mascot, a dragon called George!
We all felt the festive spirit and excitement; the mascot idea is fabulous as our children loved him.
The dance routine was funny and festive and deserved a big round of applause.
The school really showed its care for the children and, as parents, we feel the staff and PTA deserve a big 'well done'.
