IT'S so heart-warming to read of Cllrs Phil Davies’ and Bernie Mooney’s crusade against the litterbugs of Wirral - and not before time. Those who drop litter have no respect for themselves let alone for anybody else.
They are, to put it bluntly, a blight on the community at large.
I myself witnessed a youth on a bike come out of a certain shop with a sausage roll which he proceeded to consume and then threw the wrapper on the floor right beside the empty bin.
I picked up the litter right in front of him and said to him “that’s what dustbins are for.”
There is a wider issue here. It’s everybody’s responsibility to tackle litterbugs.
