I MOVED to Ontario, Canada, three years ago and came back for my friend’s wedding.
I went to my old local Tesco in Bidston to pick up some necessities that I could not bring with me.
I pulled into the parent and child parking space with no problems and a kind gentleman helped me with my three-month-old son’s car seat out the back as I am not used to driving a three-door car.
When I came to leave I was unaware that it was a one-way system - and people were so rude even after I apologised and explained.
One woman was screaming profanity into my vehicle even though I said for someone not from the area it wasn’t clearly sign posted where I was parked or I would have followed the instructions.
I was so distressed by the attitude of the other driver that I had to pull over once outside the parking lot as I have never been so insulted - and in front of my young son as well.
Is an apology not enough for an honest mistake, and does it warrant abuse?
I remember Wirral as a friendly place and it is upsetting when you face such rudeness.
